....Hun, Hunny, Babe, Babes, Luv, Dear. I cringe when anyone calls me any of those names!
Do you cringe or don't you mind them?
Maybe, you can think of other things that make you cringe or drive you mad?!!

Not fond of those terms-but with a name of Stephan can you imagine how many times that becomes Stephen?. I sent back my first degree due to bad spelling

Art I don't mind any of those really as long as they are not used in a patronising way but as a term of endearment .

No, I don't mind at all, if it is made as a term of endearment but sometimes it is made to be condescending, that is another story

Hun gets me, and I don't know why. I find complete strangers using it when to me, I may be wrong, it's quite a personal term of endearment.

I don't mind if somebody, I know well, calls me those kind of names but if it is an online stranger it bothers me. I get many friend requests on my other forum and I will talk to anybody but, if they start to call me names like this, I always question their intentions. So far I have found them to be lonely men who need a woman or a man looking for a bit on the side. When it is the latter, I get a great deal of fun by leading them up the garden path and then showing shock and horror when they mention what they would like.
