Southern Hawker Dragonfly

Spotted in the garden earlier. He/she was about three and a half inches long. Mrs LD wasn't too happy to see it though and went indoors.

It's true they are completely harmless, but rather big when flying around your head.

Very beautiful. You must have been running all over the place to get those pics, they don't stop for long in normal situations.
