However we have lots of physical evidence to show of the
damage done to our coastal regions, paticularly where fishing
communities live. The empty harbours that used to be full
of fishing boats etc etc!!
All this we intend to put right, and we must never let the
politicians ever take over the controls again, the fishin
community must regulate its own affairs particularly where
controlling who can and cant fish in our waters is concerned!!

Here are some figures for you.

The Netherlands has an annual revenue for fishing of around 4 billions Euros.

The UK has an annual revenue for fishing of around 1 billion Euros

Those figures come from quota allocations, set by the EU for fishing in UK owned territorial waters.

You will need to find an extra 4 billion Euros a year from 1st November ... bye !

Food banks do not take fresh foods, if you were a resident or even a holiday maker you might know that. You make a lot of comments about a country you seem to actually now little about.

We have quotas once over the quota they cannot land them.

And thats only the netherlands Bread?
How many other countries fish our waters as well?
We could be out by about 12 billion if its only 3countries?
What were our leaders thinking when they gave all this away
for SFA??
No wonder this country is struggling( well most of us)??

You mention quotas all the time! But pre CFP days we had
no quotas imposed upon us at all, we were self regulated!
WE had the entire benefit of OUR labours?
As opposed to now??
That you WONT give the relevant figures speaks volumes!!
Donkeyman!
I'm not sure, but I recall reading somewhere that the reason our quota was so low when we were first forced to join the CFP is that quotas were awarded to European fishing cmmunities according to their fishing vessel count, unfortunately, a lot of our trawlers were away in Iceland (cod war), and the EU refused to include them when dishing out the quota to us for fishing in our own waters!.

We have food banks too, as I answered to puddle duck last week. As I don't use them, I wasn't aware of the fresh foid policy.

Yes, and those revenues are earned over fish landed in the netherlands, but caught by british fishing boats. So if the revenues disappear that would imply the british have found new customers. The usa for instance? Because no EU country is able to take them. Bye!

What you are saying is that the british were unable to count their fishingboats because they were out of harbour fighting the cod war.
And other european countries could count their boats because they were in the harbour? You sure explain a lot about brits, but perhaps more about yourself?
