But buy a new bookcase for example, the dimensions are usually millimeters or centimeters. Your hospital data, medication, broom handles - all SI.
I know my dog's weight in kg. I know the conversion factors and I can calculate his weight in stones and pounds. But why would I?
His food comes in grams, so many per kg of weight. His medication goes by body weight in kg.
Neither system is wrong - but one is outdated.
