Excellent ideas (some I've seen before but some new ones as well so I've bookmarked the page). One I found recently that really does work is using vinegar as a weedkiller, it takes a few days but it does work, is safe with children and animals around.

Another one is that a very small amount of baby oil on a piece of kitchen roll (then buff with another piece of kitchen roll) not only cleans up stainless steel but leaves it with a streak-free mirror shine whilst the thin film left behind protects it as well!
