Your statement there makes no sense whatsoever.

It's like saying "I've driven most cars and the best I've tried is the Robin Reliant"

You need to make the shift from supermarket breads which are utter garbage, to real artisan breads which are healthy and nutritious.

The best toast comes from real long fermented sourdough bread which you generally won't find in supermarkets. Even the loaves they jokingly call "sourdough" in supermarkets are nothing of the sort and they are close to contravening the advertising standards regulations when they use that term.

This is real bread:

A Levain De Campagne sourdough made with White flour, wholewheat flour and rye flour fermented and retarded for around 12 hours.

Very easy to make at home, just requires learning a couple of techniques.

Only 4 ingredients as all great bread should have. Flour, Salt, Yeast and Water

Re: Best bread for toast?

The best bread I like for toast is the bread they use in Weatherspoons in town or the bread they use in my local Morrissons its lovely and toasted on the outside but still lovely and fluffy on the inside...beautiful buttered with real butter..a joy to eat!!
Have to say Realists sour dough bread and proper homemade is the best too

I remember my Dad toasting thick white slices over the coal fire when I was young. I don't think toast has tasted quite as good since.
