A short while ago I was watching Secret Life of Four-year olds, and they did an experiment where they gave a group of four of them some tablets with games on, and left them to it.There the kids were, in a little huddle, all super-engrossed on their tablets, when after a while, a couple of adults came in and put bowls full of sweets, goodies and ice cream on a table in the same room, and went out again.
Not one of the kids noticed, at all, and never did notice until a bit later still, when an adult came in and spoke to them to say there were goodies.
It was astonishing!
And scary!

I find it scary that those born in 2000 will turn 19 this year. 2000 seems no time at all to me and I often reflect on the years 1984 and 1985 when I was at that age.Are there members on here who still look back to their own age and reflect on the 1950s? I guess there must be. I'll never forget my 50th - I started chemotherapy and got 2 gateaux from the hospital staff, one chocolate and one strawberry. I wasn't able to eat much but the cakes lasted for days in the fridge.

Yes I do think about the 50's when I was a kid. We had some good times then, but the 60's were better.
