I hate this the most!

Some woman on the radio was asked a question and she actually answered....

'So.... no'.

My current pet hate, which seems to be everywhere in our office at the moment, is 'deep dive' - meaning to really find out about something. Arrrgghhh!

Re: Phrases that drive you up the wall

"Can I get" instead of "May I have"

Starting a sentence with "So,"

Regular interjections of "you know" into a conversation

The use of "their" instead of "there" (often a spell check error)

Using "you're" when it should be "your" (usually a spell check error)

Poor spelling, use of punctuation, capitalisation, apostrophes, paragraph spacing, etc. After a working life in printing and advertising and a former editor there have always been standards to be retained at all costs. This does tend to make me something of a pedant, nothing wrong with that though, in my opinion!

"Stop Brexit" I would cheerfully poink that guy on the outside broadcasts that shouts that all the time!

Re: Phrases that drive you up the wall

When someone says: in any way, shape or form.

It's utterly meaningless, as is at this moment in time. What's wrong with now? Or presently?
