It's just a squatting toilet they are all over Asia. My friends in Malaysia have them in their houses, they think sitting toilets are disgusting.I am always a bit worried of something falling out of my pockets when I use them but I must say I am thinking of getting one of these fitted in my toilet they are so much better than toilet paper.

Unless careful one can end up with more on one's hands than one expected!
The reason is that there are some who want to dismantle their "logs" to ascertain the state of their digestive system! One can even buy things like lolly sticks to assist the process.
