My great great grandfather picked up a VC there. Its currently in the museum at Brecon, I thought I would share that with you

You should be justly proud of him. I'm afraid I don't know anyone who won a VC, and certainly none of my relatives.

Strange to say that we were allies to Moslem Turkey and the Russians used the excuse of the Turks occupying Jerusalem as an excuse to invade Turkey so they could establish a seaport in the Med. As allies, we were dragged into the conflict

And we still find it impossible to keep our noses out of other people's business.

At least in those days we had the wherewithal to go around fighting everybody.

We've got little bark now tis true .. and even less teeth to bite with.

It'd be a good thing if our exalted leaders stopped dragging us in now we're pretty much bottom league.
