I’m glad you now agree with the title of this thread, Besoeker.

Surely not!

I mean when all is said and done NOBODY can be as silly as that!
The bovine IS the claim. That is NOT silly. So your claim IS silly.

My simple logic.
Why others here can't fathom that? Actually to the point of my being ignored.

So sad.

One thing I do know and advise others not to do, is never enter a cow field if you have a dog with you. The cows will almost always come after the dog, even more dangerous if they have calves with them.

I thought there were by-laws about not putting cattle in fields that had public footpaths across them, but I may be wrong about this.
There are cows in the back field where two footpaths cross behind my house .
They are beautiful and incredibly unafraid they are not nervous at all.And they are big and they have calves which are also quite large .
Cows are very curious .
I do cross with my dog but I and him are very careful
He is a border collie and is quite wary of them he takes the long run around - as sheep dogs do -his eyes never leave them .
( He is very good with stock and never bothers farm animals )
The main thing is that you must have a dog that is obedient and doesn’t harass animals at all and you must if cows chase your dog let it run free .
It will outrun them you will not .

Apparently cows are not that good or quick running down hill

So I guess a field on an incline is best ventured... but only if them cows are at the top end

They may not run down hill very fast but still quicker than a person .

Re: Man dies after being attacked by cows in Yorkshire Dales

I've seen a video recently in one of the online papers (but can I find it now bah humbug).
Can't remember if it's here or abroad but a farmer has such a good relationship with his cows he goes in the field and lies down.
The cows move to him, stand right around him to make sure he's ok and some lick his face.

They are very good subjects to draw .
