It's very simple...........the general public were told not to wear masks because the NHS did not have enough for their staff!!

It's bizarre that everything we get told to do contradicts every other country on the [bleep!] planet.

IMO another pandemic is on the way and this is why they are stock piling PPE for the future.
We SHOULD have stockpiled PPE in the past - and been prepared as instructed by the WHO. Had we followed that advise, our death rate would have been far lower..........but our NHS was sytematically underfunded for years and years - and various departments privatised...........

Absolutely.

I was told recently by a pharmacist working for my GP practice that the biggest problem with the NHS is waste.

She didn't specify examples but I'd list them as overpaid and overmanned upper management, far too much paperwork and legalese, mismanagement regarding procurement (as we've seen with PPE), patients taking up beds simply because they cannot be found a safe place for them to go after their treatment, etc, etc.

You are really desperate to find excuses for your government aren't you? As I said I really don't understand why.

The reason the flu is more prevalent in winter is thought to be because people in cold climates stay indoors with the windows shut providing close the contact to easily spread the virus.

Temperature is clearly not such a factor for the virus survival because it survives well in the human body at 37° (doh!) far higher than the average temperature of say, Malaysia, of 32°.

Yes it's down to ventilation. So we will have to go and live under canvas in winter! That will be a bit intense (ho! ho! - groan!).

I'm not sure when it happened, but at some time - probably following some Tory Government bill - consultants employed by the NHS were able to leave one day and return the next to the same job at a massively increased salary.........with benefits!!!!
