Twiddling thumbs atm, waiting for AA man to call and pick me up - car died in the village! Think it did this once before and the AA bloke then poked an iron bar into the engine, gave something a smart tap and we were in business. Can't for the live of me think what he said it was!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

When the RAC man arrived and drove me down to the village, much to my embarrassment the car started! (Turned out to be a "sticky" starter motor). The RAC man was a dear and told me not to worry, he was on duty until 9 pm and wasn't a bit bothered about having to come from Leominster to me! - for nothing!! Bless him.

Have been to the pub this evening to treat Micky and the family to supper for his birthday. Horrid night out, it's sleeting and the roads are like rivers. Don't think I'll be taking Rob to the dentist in the morning! Will have to reschedule.

Lovely sunshine here ,window wide open
My g/daughter just phoned from Oz. She works in housing so she has been going to see the homes wrecked by the fires. On her way home there was a downpour of hailstones and they damaged her car . Crazy weather
