Yes there really is a problem.

I have now put a 'shilling' in the meter. It rather looks as though they want a lot more. More than I want to spend.

It rather looks as though they assume that I am doing this for money which I am not.

Things usually sort themselves out. I shall look at this from time to time. I hope it doesn't mean that I have to stop this little hobby of mine.

Let us wait and see.

Can't you just scan your pictures on to your computer, save as a jpg or png and post them directly on to here?
I'm not sure that Photobucket is necessary at all.

1919: No exercise book

In 1919 a slate was still considered good enough for pupils in state schools. You wrote on your slate and it was washed clean after the work had been marked. It was then ready for use again.

The mother in this cartoon earns her money by doing other people’s washing.

Still not working, but when I clicked on the 'clock' image, the picture appeared correctly.

EDIT: Correction: it has now appeared properly.

The young woman wants to shock people. The reputation of chorus girls isn’t bad enough for her to want to look like them. This would all be a matter of appearance. No doubt in her actual behaviour she is strait-laced enough to satisfy her aunt.

This seems to be working. Please let me know if it isn't. If it doesn't I shall seek to find a method that doesn't include photobucket. I hope someone will guide me on that path.

Meantime let's see if I have the answer now.

Yes, it seems to be working, after a fashion. When I click the 'clock' icon, the picture appears in Photobucket, but the picture doesn't automatically appear as before.

No big problem, as long as people know.

I suggest that you try pressing Function Key F5 while the offending black circle appears on your screen. It worked for me.
