I can remember kids smoking dried banana skins back in the 60's - they didn't get high but they got a hell of a sore throat!

I can remember as a lad making a pipe out of an acorn and a straw, then combing the gutters for dog ends, rescuing what bit of tobacco there was and smoking that. Enterprising or what !

I tried to smoke it about 30 years ago, but whatever was in the smoke set me heart pounding and I thought it was going to burst, didn't like that sensation so I never tried again, maybe I should have started off slowly by eating flower heads and worked me way up.
