Hi Carol, its a Waxwing, a bird that visits our country every year.Usually in small numbers but occasionally an irruption occurs when their numbers are large or their food depletes early.


They love berries, and ornamental Rowans are a favourite food, they breed in the Northern Forests of continental Europe.

They generally strip the area of food and move on so they will turn up where you live.
