Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Dry morning-so far.
I put the heating on yesterday evening, felt a bit chilly.
Going to see a friend today, hope the M4 is not too busy and it stays dry-hate driving in the rain.
Fingers crossed that Rob keeps improving and will be home soon.
Have a good day.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I honestly don't think the left hand knows what the right hand is doing in that hospital. Yesterday he wasn't on a/bs, this morning he is, but spoke to the Dr. this afternoon and she seems to think he will be well enough to have the PEG fitted on Wednesday. If that goes ahead and all is well he should be home a few days later. (I'm not holding my breath). Care agency Manager and I are having PEG feed training on Thursday and some of the carers are having is on Friday, so we should be ready.

Grandson has been here today and the engineer has serviced the Aga and boiler, so we're all poised to go. (I had the heating on yesterday too Rhosyn and I shall be glad to have the Aga going again). We went up to the Church to put flowers on the graves - would have been our 54th wedding anniversary tomorrow. It was lovely up there, sitting in the sun and watching the swallows. But it certainly gets chilly in the evenings.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Horrible morning.
Had an eventful evening-had a couple of hours in A&E.I was using one of those metal scouring pads and felt a sting in my little finger.Thought nothing of it then my finger and hand started swelling.I wear my Mam's wedding rings(she had two because they got married during the war and Dad bought her a "real gold" one after the war)Tried to pull them off but couldn't,phoned 111 and was told to go A&E.Son took me, had to have the rings cut off-very upsetting,I'd worn them constantly for 38yrs since she died.Had x-ray to ensure there wasn't any metal in the finger.Finger still swollen but hand back to normal.
Hope you get better news from the hospital today Sue.
Keep safe.
