Re: Programs from one's youth

I remember as far back as, ‘l Love Lucy’.
I also remember the end of a show where a man was smoking a cigar and he would say, to his wife, ‘Say, Goodnight Gracie’.
I think he was George Burns?

I remember loads including those already mentioned.

No-one ever mentions Garrison Gorillas - I thoroughly enjoyed that series.

I used to enjoy What's My Line too with David Nixon, Isabelle Barnett, Barbara Kelly.

Being allowed to stay up on a Monday night to watch Monty Python's Flying Circus.
The only downer was sitting through The Onedin Line beforehand.
Think I'd quite enjoy the series now though.

Re: Programs from one's youth

WOW!!!, looking through the posts has just made me realise how young 50 something I am because I've never heard of a huge majority of the programs mentioned in many of the posts hahaha.

My earliest recollection of programs i used to watch were:

Playschool
Michael Bentines Potty Time
Blue Peter
Magpie
You and Me
Words and Pictures
Bagpus
Fingermouse
Trumpton
Camberwick Green
Pipkins
Rainbow
Sessame Street
Mr Ben
The Mr Men
The Clangers
Ivor the Engine
Magic Roundabout

Ahh the good ole days of one's very young youth
