Euwwwww ... some of mine is like that and other bits are brown

The new grass is quite patchy at present, probably due to being sat on by the cats.
Never mind that I have it covered with clematis netting .. they don't mind sitting on that

We have shears, but a scythe would be more useful I think.

Re: GRASS ... it cometh

Ooooo ... that brings back memories.
Before we had a lawnmower (eons ago) I spent my spare time using a sickle on the grass (same as a scythe but a shorter handle).
This house had not been lived in for a couple of years and I guess the previous people were not really into gardening

Interesting times when you have no spare cash

Each to his or her own - but we are no gardeners - and don't give a rat's about grass.

If ya can't eat it, don't grow it.

Only reason I pay a bloke to mow every now and then is to placate the neighbours.
Otherwise, as long as I can find the front door, who cares ?

Good GOD, no !
But we do have heaps of visiting kangaroos and they tend to trim things just a bit.

Seriously.
(Would provide a pic but don't own a camera - or a mobile phone or a credit card - and I survive quite nicely in the 21st Century)
