Few things annoy me greatly. But something recently did irk me. I'm an old fellow and walk a lot with my big, gentle dog. Neighbours children love him to bits and want to walk with us. That would be fine with me and their parents. But recently, an old guy on one of the paths we take was convicted of kiddie fiddling.I'd be at risk of unfounded accusations of a similar nature if I gave in to their requests.
It saddens me that I have to tell them they can't go because of the actions of one sad old git. And I can't really explain to them why.
