What I think is wrong is having to pay to leave companies before 18 months are up.
I've just had this with car insurance, even though my car was written off, and I asked Sky (big rip off) for telephone and broadband, they want £100!
It should be no more than a 3 month contract, by then you know how it's going.

I'm with SSE for gas and electricity, very good for price and customer service, so far.
