The only series I did like from about 1967 and I still watch was.
The Prisoner.

Sorry to disagree, but it isn't!

Doctor Who was an excellent and very original children's science fiction serial.

What the Beeb now calls 'Doctor Who' is nothing more than a Woke-PC 'keep the snowflakes happy' serial. Nothing at all like what I used to watch!

In my humble opinion, of course.

Definitely! Brilliant programme starring the hugely underrated Patrick McGoohan (also loved him in 'Danger Man'). Quite often when I'm saying goodbye to someone, I come out with a jaunty, "Be Seeing You!" and get some funny looks!
I also loved the Quatermass series - especially 'Quatermass and The Pit'
A little later in my late teens/early 20's, Callan was a great favourite (currently being repeated on London Live).

Re: Instantly memorable TV program(s) from your youth

The trouble is, reading through all the replies is reminding me of programmes I liked but might not have remembered but here goes;

Watch with Mother (Chigley, Camberwick Green, Hattytown)
Wacky Races
How
Magpie
It's a knockout (before Stuart Hall went up and over )
Eurovision (back when we had a chance)
The Sweeny
Christmas Day TOTP

Edit. Just seen Lost in Space above which was a real favourite.
