Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Another bleak one but Laura and Tyler came down . He is over 6ft tall now ,hard to believe he is my greatgrandson !!
I,m shattered today . Fire alarm went off at 3am .I have been told just to get out and save myself but when I saw young mums with babies in their PJ.s no way could I do it . It was raining and cold and I just couldn't leave them to fend for themselves so I phoned handiman, checked where fire was supposed to be and turned alarm noise off . It was another false alarm and man came very quickly but I couldn't settle back to sleep . Early night for me lol

That fire alarm must be the bane of your life Jac. Just hope you never have a real one.

Expensive morning out today. Took the car to the garage with a suspected fuel leak. It turned out to be the filler pipe not the tank thank goodness but still cost £360!! Had the boys with me, so we did a bit of shopping across the road while we were waiting and then finished up meeting Roses in the Garden Centre. The boys went to visit the reindeer and donkeys while we had a catch up. Rounded the day off by decorating some gingerbread hearts for the tree and watching Wallace & Grommit. I've just spent an hour wrapping and now collapsed on the settee, feet up.

Right-what I haven't got in for the Christmas holidays-tough!
If someone asks for something I haven't got they'll have to get it themselves!
Son no2 arriving Saturday afternoon then I'll feel like Christmas.
Have a good day.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Got a very poorly Lexi here. She's managed to acquire IMHA (a type of anaemia where her white blood cells are destroying her red blood cells (I think)). Involves trips to the vets each morning and she is so sorry for herself. She's come home today with a catheter in her leg so they can take more bloods tomorrow. Must go and finish wrapping pressies, but can't whip up much enthusiasm somehow. Such a dreary day.....

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Bad news I'm afraid. Lexi's blood count was way down again this morning and though she could have had a blood transfusion, it would means months of aftercare and no guarantee that the horrid disease wouldn't come back so Dood made the decision to have her pts. Needless to say we are all in bits and have had a good howl. Won't forget this Christmas Eve in a hurry.
