Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Came back from my son's yesterday.
My granddaughter had an emergency c section on Thursday. The baby was delivered at 1pm.-7weeks early He's in special baby care in Singleton Hosp.Went to visit granddaughter this afternoon, she's in some pain and finding it difficult to move. She's going home tomorrow,I'm going to get her around midday.Baby will be in for a while yet. It's been quite a shock all round.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

That must have been a worrying day Rhosyn, glad the new grandson arrived safely. Best wishes to them all.

The bride was lucky in that the torrential rain eased a little as she was going in to Church (though I suspect she arrived with her dress hiked up) and there were some lovely photos afterwards with big black clouds in the background. The boys arrived for their sleepover (DIL did not go to the party in wellies) and I believe a good time was had by all.

I've just come back from the Church where we supplied tea for the Kilvert pilgrimage walkers (not many of them this year - possibly because of the weather), but those who came enjoyed their tea, which was good. Now to put the feet up and watch the last episode of Poldark.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Didn't need to take my granddaughter home-her husband was given a few hours off work to take her home.I'm glad as it would have been heartbreaking to see her upset at having to leave the baby in the hospital. Her husband is going to take paternity leave when the baby comes home. She'll be going in every day to see him and to have her wound checked. So Mamgu's taxi will be needed sometimes as she can't drive for 6weeks.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

My built in oven finally gave up the ghost yesterday-it's been on the blink for a while. It's been repaired a couple of times.Don't know how old it is-it was here when I moved in 7 yrs ago.Had a look on line but I like to see things in person so it's a trip to Currys today.
How nice for you to meet a "new" family member Jac.
Have a good day.
