Bloody neighbours!!!
There I was last evening, relaxing in my chair watching TV, balcony door wide open and enjoying the last of the sunlight. A neighbour five doors away determined to light a bonfire.
Clouds of smoke and a rank smell of burning, the smell reached my nose before the smoke and I started to cough and retch. I had to close the balcony door.
My inhalers weren't having too much effect and given my various medical issues I sought advice from 111, who promptly sent an ambulance because of my breathing difficulties. Ambulance crew spent over an hour with me. I was dreading them saying that I ought to go to A & E, but luckily they didn't. After more puffs from my inhalers my breathing returned to reasonably 'normal' so the crew left me.
