Thanks Pixie, much appreciated....
I agree about the picnic, it was a long time to go without food since my bowl of porridge for breakfast....
I thought there would be lots of places to obtain a sandwich, I didn't bargain for the amount of tourists that would be swarming about like ants, and every one with a car to park...
A scythe would be perfect but people might think they've bumped into 'Old Father Time' if they see and old bloke with a scythe sticking out of his rucksack...

Thanks Mart, I'm enjoying the thrill of the chase and some of the remote locations I've been ending up in. Away from the rat race for an afternoon...
I might need a bigger rucksack though if I'm going to hump a two ton block of concrete across the North York Moors...

Yep, the local infrastructure has been rattled.

Re: Roberts Rambles 13

There are just over six thousand trig points, but some have been destroyed because they are all redundant now and have been replaced with satellites. Some are in Scotland and Northern Ireland, It's not that I don't want to visit Scotland, but unless we come up on holiday it would be too far to come to only visit trig points.

Come up on holiday then! Me & Mrs Foxy will go lots of shopping, and you can go wandering into the wilderness, problem sorted!

That will suit Mrs Fox... You will be the first to know the next time we visit your beautiful country Pixie....
One of our most memorable holidays was a visit to Oban and a week in Portree on Skye...

Thanks d00d...
Yes it was a selfie using the timer. I really needed a tripod, the one I carry is only a small one and with the foliage being so deep it was a problem to balance the camera on my rucksack.
My legs were stinging from the nettles for the next two days... Worth it though....

... but the long grass in the foreground and the upward point-of-view is what makes it!

I see what you mean d00d, it's just a pity that my good shots are usually the result of an accident....
