2s company 3 a crowd?

They say two's company, three's a crowd, In the past i have been one of 3 friends and it just didn't work as I always felt the other two were closer as they were friends before I came along so I decided to walk away. It sometimes felt like I was just there to be the chauffeur. We weren't close friends, we were work colleagues who became quite friendly.

Have you ever found this to be true? or are you in a circle of 3 that works well.

Any stories to tell?

Three is my lucky number, but not where folks are concerned.

You probably met at the wrong time, you need bad weather:

"When shall we three meet again,
In thunder, lightning or in rain?"

Re: 2s company 3 a crowd?

I was in a circle of three from school onward. We are still good friends, but spent most of our early youth together partying, holidaying and socialising. Yes you will always have situations where one is closer to the other and one feels more left out. It's a dynamic that changes. You have to be really in sync with each other.

I also have two other friends where we have been on holiday together in the last ten years. But because I am really close and long term friends with one, the other would get jealous and angry. . She wouldn't let me do my own thing like having a relaxing day by the pool because she felt I was too influential and that the closer friend would follow my lead. It was all a bit intense.

So all three have to be in tune for it to work.

I don't think 3 is a good idea. I like 2, 4 or more.....a group is always nice, so no one feels left out......

There was 3 last time I visited Filly, but is was only for a short time (to have lunch, which was delicious)....then Marilyn left and it was just us two for a few days, and that was so nice and comfy with the animals to enjoy.....

Filly was a beautiful hostess, you should taste her meat loaf, it was so delicious.......
