What are you having this year ?

Christmas day what are you having we've been talking it over and will be having a baked Camembert as a treat and parsnip and carrot chips with baked sprouts and almonds.

Made the pudding and will have that with custard.

So meat ? veggie ? vegan ? what are you treating yourself to for Christmas day dinner ?

Nathan is working Christmas afternoon/evening shift, so having an earlyish lunch so he can be there too, No Jordan and Ivana this year, he's going to Skype from where he is stationed and she is going home to see her family.

Re: What are you having this year ?

Expect it will be a turkey based roast meal. No idea if anyone will invite me, but I doubt it, so later on will make sure I have all ingredients to hand. Might ask my sis if she wants to stay over for Christmas, but it depends if she gets a better offer, lol.

I don’t eat Christmas pud so will have a nice dessert of some kind. Something light, maybe.

I always think have exactly what you like jazzi, my lot would hang me boxing day if they didn't get their pudding but the main is often quite different to the traditional. One year we had egg on toast and bloody loved it was best meal ever because we just fancied it on the day.

Quorn Roast for Mrs LD even though she has that most weeks anyway, plus a turkey crown for me and the cats.

Not tried the quorn roast but you could change it up with the veggies and accompaniments to make it a bit more festive.

We used to sometimes get the Quorn roast 'beef' but can't find it anywhere these days.

We'll have beef, none of us like turkey. We get it from a local farm, plus we'll have all the usual veg. Daughter's Partner will cook, he's a far better cook than me. Afters for Daughter & I will be something with chocolate in it. Daughter's partner & my Son with have the Christmas pud, we don't like it.

My older sister usually eats something other than turkey. I love it. Having a turkey meal this evening, with all the trimmings.
