Just caught up with this.

Nice one Julie - glad you won't get lumbered.
My eldest sister is an alcoholic since 18, she's been nothing but a menace and a drain on the family. I decided from the outset to never get involved and left her to it. Sounds harsh, but I'm not prepared to have my life interfered with due to her. You only get one life and you're a long time dead.

Hello Julie, I know we have just 'met' on here so I don't want to appear to stick my nose in to a family problem, but there is a help group in Surrey, St Mary Francis trust. They not only help hoarders, have meetings etc, but they also help the families and give practical advice too. They may be able to help you steer your sister to the right help without having to take her on yourself. You sound such a loving lady, I hope it works out for you ��
