The best places you've holidayed?

"Best" places, where do I start. I've ridden 60,000 miles in three years on my motorcycles to get to some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen. As soon as I think I've seen the best I top it the very next ride.

Crater Lake National Park, OR

Diamond Lake near Crater Lake, OR

Japanese Garden in Portland, OR

Iceland would come top of list. Its not a long flight but a different world once you arrive, even the air is different. The people are friendly and there's lots to see and do.
Though we love Italy too. Its hard to pick a favourite
Caravanning around Britain is our holiday staple . We just enjoy exploring new places and visiting old favourites.
Looking at those terrific pictures, Bob, I think I'd like a trip to your part of the world.

Those are just fabulous pictures Bob!

I think one of the best sights we've seen is Niagara Falls. Pretty impressive and the boat ride in a Maid of the Mist boat, going right up to the fall, wearing the regulation blue plastic poncho is pretty spectacular

The Game Reserve in Tanzania - amazing. No photos though.
I lived in Africa and also France for a bit - these were great times, but I didn`t have a camera for most of it.

Orkney Islands was a very enjoyable trip. Breath taking scenery. Fantastic beaches, and the sun shone the whole time we were there. WOuld love to go back for a longer time.

Loved Bruges too. Different type of holiday but lovely never the less.

I have been to Florida for 3 years on the trot---my brother has a house he rents out there.

I was wary the first time but I love it.I wasn't keen on disney but sea world and sister parks are fantastic. I enjoy having time to see a bit more and drive around as well.

My mum treated us to a cruise on Ventura this year--that was different!

Re: The best places you've holidayed?

Great pics Bob-holidays don't really bother me but if my sister and hubby are going to Puerto Pollensa in Majorca they always ask me to go with them-usually they go every couple of years or so. Its a lovely place-so relaxing wih a laid-back pace of life. Its not commercialised at all-and if you're looking for any kind of night-life its not the place to go but there are plenty of restaurants/bars where you can have a lovely meal and drink (if you wish) and soak up the atmosphere......memories...........

We've been to Canada, too, and loved Niagara.

We just love the USA. Been to NY twice and going to Florida next year for the fifth time - can't wait!
