NatWest...
Called into the bank earlier today to withdraw a small amount (£50)of cash and the cashier said...."You are now able to put £15,000 into your I.S.A. as from 1st July"...I replied that as that represents more than double my annual pension, it's unlikely to apply to us! (Bloody cheek!)
Whilst we were on the subject, I (jokingly) added that I was planning on setting some terms & conditions of my own as I was fed up with recent changes being made to them from big Companies like theirs.
I continued by mentioning the £6 per month fee that would be charged to our joint account if we used more than £10 of our 'pre-arranged' overdraft of £1000. (note - pre-arranged).
I added that there's always around £750 in our joint account and I will be expecting £6 per month for each month that it remains in credit (over £10)...
She didn't know how to respond....
But I'm right, though, aren't I?

I have had an account with the same NATWEST branch for 49 years.I can't be bothered to change now even though the staff, most of whom were born 20 years after I opened the account, seem unimpressed with this fact.
They have over the years given service ranging from perfection to useless, but I guess they're no better or worse than the others.
I take my hat off to you for rattling their cage.
