Have walked down that path many a time. Hope to do it again this year.

The Rest and Be Thankful, in Argyll, on the road to Inverary.

My boys and I paddled by the ruins of the castle in bonny Loch Ness. No sign of Nessie

Another favourite. I especially liked the portraits of all of Queen Victoria's children, hanging on one of the walls. This is Blair Castle in Perthshire.

Driving through Rannoch Moor, you feel like a tiny speck in comparison to the mountains around you. it's breathtaking.

You can't go to to Inverary without eating fish and chips at the loch's edge
