Your continual harassing and last-worditis is doing nothing but add more angst.
None of us like to see this level of discord on the forum.
Please stop bickering.
Unfortuantly Morticia some members are not aware of the 'game playing' going on here by a small number of members who are not happy with the recent rule changes and are now doing all they can to disrupt the site rather like small children having a temper tantrum because they can't get their own way .
Fortunatly not all members are blind, they will not be disrupted and will post as usual.

Sorry we can't all oblige sir and I Meg the member will not be patronised and bullied by any man . I think I should just make that clear .
Meg, you derailed it in the first instance with your personal comments and you’re still doing it now. No one forces you to read what I say, or agree, or comment and if you do so, address the comments, not me. No one is bullying you, if you have nothing to say about my comments except getting your feminist knickers in a politically correct twist, start a thread of your own about tulips and stuff. I’ll welcome you joining in with your comments, but try to act a little more grown up instead of trying to shut sown threads you disagree with.

We probably have more in common that you care to admit, although my writing, as I’ve mentioned elsewhere, is in the style of a lecturer and I suspect, one you’re not used to. I’m a big pussy cat really, but it’s my style. Get beyond that, read what I say and don’t concentrate on me so much. You’ll probably find it different and a lot more interesting

Re: BREXIT: The Facts Behind EU Propaganda

I think some mistake my criticism for a near hatred. It’s not; I love the old homestead, but chose not to live anymore in the self-seeking, me me me place it has become. I, like many of you, grew up in a different era and I wanted that lifestyle back. I worked in UK Inner Cities and even eight years ago, it was a jungle. You drove at night with the car doors locked, didn’t go near an ATM unless it was within a bank and tried to avoid the police ‘tax collectors’, who prowled the motorways looking for victims to give a ticket to.

I got fed up of subsidising others in a tax system which said the more I earned, the more I lost and did what an estimated 55% of Brits wish they could do after leaving the EU (Yahoo finance) I emigrated, long before it became fashionable to do so. I earned a good living in the UK, but it wasn’t about the money; I have a much more preferable lifestyle now. That’s my basic story. Some can hack it, some can’t and others don’t want to. Yet others wander through life with blinkers on and their fingers in their ears. Those are the people that voted in what you now see in the UK.

I’ll give you a little known quote from George Bush, but applying equally to the UK "[…] if the American people ever find out what we have done, they would chase us down the street and lynch us." The irony is, it won’t happen, because come the next election, the majority will fall for it all over again. A recovery can’t begin with the same people in power who sat back and watched the recession happening in 2008 and voted for fascism in the EU to further themselves and their own careers.

Out of the EU by the skin of your teeth, you now need to get rid of socialist policies which are dragging you down and get back to some wealth creation. Capitalism didn’t fail; it just wasn’t designed to support an entitlement welfare society. BREXIT was about self-determination and self-reliance, but now the real problems begin, as there is nothing presently to base a recovery on. The UK has to get back to producing and competing with the rest of the world.

Well I, for one, am honoured to be in the presence of such greatness as yourself, and I can fully understand your reasons for moving to China, which is obviously that Britain wasn't quite big enough to contain your ego....

Read the first thread post, I’m delighted the UK Brexited and willing to discuss, debate and argue that for ever more. Rule Britannia and God Save the Queen, why not? What I add are the reasons why the UK is now in a precarious position, having been in countries that followed the same path. ‘We’ll manage’ doesn’t do it for me.

By the way, a few of the links are mine, they’re links to my neutral articles, not just websites; I include those for further information to prevent posts turning into essays. I publish some of my real stuff if you’re a political animal, in international publications such as China Daily, or Pravda, under pseudonyms. This is a forum, the stuff I write here is from the top of my head.

I haven’t had much debate worth commenting on, I didn’t expect to, but am happy to engage if I did. I’m also quite prepared to discuss China, but come on; most of the information is from people who got their views from the Daily Mail and that’s no debate, hence my style of writing.
Thank you for your response, I will try to answer some of the points but I don't want to hijack the thread by discussing other matters ..... although I will say that the majority of members feel that both mods on here are excellent and offer good posts on both serious and humorous threads. I am sure you will find that is the feeling of most members on here!
There are a lot of supporters of Brexit on here, so your post on that will have won you a little support.
I am glad to hear that some of the links are yours, because I have serious problems trusting any link, written by somebody I have never heard of. I tend to work with truth and fact, so sifting through news items, from any source, is hard work, but I can promise you that I have never read the Daily Mail in my life. I have spent time with journalists and learned that, although what they say is true, the way they say it can dramatically alter it's meaning! One of the reasons I no longer read newspapers, although I do realize that the other sources are equally biased.
If you are not just here to debate, I am sure many of us would like to hear about your life in Mongolia and your decision to move there. That way we can get to know you better.

Please ignore my polite response, having read the posts between your quoted one and my reply, I feel that you may be here to cause problems on the site. Don't worry others have tried and failed, but some members won't like further tightening of the rules

No ego Barry, just an EU topic. Comment on what I’ve said in the initial post if you like. I don’t really want to get involved in the silly club mentality, or something to do with new rules that’s going on here

Do you get extra brownie points from your puppet masters for each post, I can't see you really getting ahead in the party though being a foreigner.

Re: BREXIT: The Facts Behind EU Propaganda

Hi

I go away for a few hours, into the delicate hands of the NHS and come back to all this.

First things first, a decent cup of coffee, NHS vending machine coffee is the pits.

I will then read and digest all this information.

I will say however that I personally do not mind paying tax to help others less fortunate than myself, I was one of those once.
