I take my ipad to bed with me and turn on the radio bbc 4 which seems to help me switch off and go back to sleep

I don't sleep well these days, some nights I lie awake for most of the night. I never get up though.

Sometimes I have trouble sleeping if it's too hot and I find sleeping on the sofa helps because the room is cooler. Not very comfortable but at least I get to sleep.

For those who waken and can't drop back off to sleep , get up and make a cup of tea and read a few pages of a good book.
