Luckily, I don't think like that so much these days.
That's right because the universe is indifferent to you (and rest of us.)

You should be. It’s the most important job in the world.

Yes I do believe in it.
This is my understanding also

Re: Karma

Sort of why do bad things happen to good people ?

I think bad things happen to everybody. It's just that people tend to empathise more when bad things happen to (supposedly) good people. If a Salvation Army person got mugged while S/he was helping street people there would be outrage. But if a nasty gangster gets shot in an alley, you probably wouldn't see a huge outpouring of (genuine) grief apart from an expensive, gawdy funeral with the guys that probably killed him in attendance. I kind of believe in Karma. The "what goes around comes around" principle leastways.

Re: Karma

No, I don't believe in karma, I believe you can sometimes change the outcome of stuff by your own behaviour but by and large we are helplessly swept along by events. 4 and 5 can sometimes be true I guess but - why do bad things happen to good people? Chance, bad luck, random accidents, poor health, you name it - nothing to do with karma. There are thousands of evil, cruel and selfish people in the world who have wonderfully successful lives, and I doubt a thunderbolt will strike them down any time soon.

12 Laws of karma

1. The Great Law
Whatever we put into the universe will come back to us.

2. The Law of Creation
Life does not happen by itself, we have to make it happen.

3. The Law of Humility
We must accept something before we can change it.

4. The Law of Growth
By changing ourselves, we change our lives.

5. The Law of Responsibility
We are responsible for what happens in our lives.

6. The Law of Connection
The past, the present, and the future are all connected.

7. The Law of Focus
We cannot think of two different things at the same time.

8. The Law of Giving and Hospitality
Our behavior should match our thoughts and actions.

9. The Law of Here and Now
We cannot be present if we are looking backward.

10. The Law of Change
History repeats itself until we learn from it and change our path.

11. The Law of Patience and Reward
The most valuable rewards require persistence.

12. The Law of Significance and Inspiration
Rewards are a result of the effort and energy we put into it.
I do believe in Karma, Muddy.
