It's a Spanish 'baroque 'horse .
I spend quite a lot of time in Spain so see a lot of Spanish horses so he's a conglomeration of several I have seen.
I look at pictures on the internet for reference -position of legs etc but I'm not sure that's always a good idea .
The camera catches horses in awkward positions .
In this case the horse is just striking off from trot to canter .
I liked it at the time I started not so sure now !

You should be proud of your talent and never give up on a piece of work that is appreciated by most. Don't let us rush you ( although I can hardly wait to see the finished painting
) just go back to it when you are being less self critical.I have never liked the Mona Lisa, but if the artist had heard me say that, she may have ended up in his attic, unfinished, instead of on the walls of the Louvre

Is it because it is unfinished, or it it mist/dust?
I have not decided yet .
I have a problem with backgrounds next time I shall do a more abstract background .....
