With ketchup, really?

I have just seen for the first time a McDonald's advert where someone drives into McD's and requests a new bacon roll with ketchup. Really? What about good old HP?

It's interesting the food items people pair together. For instance a colleague of my husband's loves mince and chips, rather than mince and tatties.

Do you enjoy any interesting combinations?

I think it's inherently daft to put those sauces on anything. They are essentially just pots of pure sugar so it is sugar addiction that is at play.

I tend to avoid Ketchup and brown sauces. There's already too much sugar in everything these days.

A bacon sarnie and ketchup go together. Always have done.
Same as a sausage sandwich with brown sauce.
Yummy!

I like digestive biscuits with butter on and dry weetabix with butter on, some people go 'Eurgh' when I say that so I think it's an unusual combination, I dunno though, maybe not.

I can't drink my afternoon mug of coffee without two chocolate digestives with it. And it has to be in my red Nescafe mug. Doesn't taste the same without it.

I just love broon sauce but, nowadays, I have to follow it up with a Gaviscon!
