Bruce - I haven't been looking at the statistics for a while now but I've just checked https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ and total recovered and active cases for the UK are shown as N/A . Any idea why and for how long these figures haven't been shown?

There are also no figures shown under New Cases for very many countries including the UK.......yet I'm just watching breakfast TV on which they state that cases in the UK are currently around 2000 a day (or did I hear that wrong).......yet we're sending children to school on Monday. South Korea - which has remarkable results for Covid - are
closing their schools again as their cases jump.........the stats show they have 39 new cases!!!

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

Hi

We have not done well, one of the worst in fact.

The Political Mantra has been that we are following the advice of scientists.

Scientists can only advise, the decisions are made by Politicians.

The recent publication of the Sage advice, forced on the Government ,has shown fractures and delays in following that advice.

The scientists are being blamed by Government and are starting to kick back.

The next fiasco will be Track and Trace.

Boris promised a World Beating Track and Trace system.

This is obviously not happening.

GPs are on the warpath now, they are not permitted to order tests for their patients.

This is a complete nonsense.

Its now become a economy v health problem Lindy!
The scientists sre now beginning to disassociate themselves
from the governments actions by the look of it??
I cant blame them as they will take the blame if things go wrong
wont they?
However, it is possible that keeping the new infection rate to below
the 3000 per day, and being able to keep them in hospital till they
recover we can gradually come right?
It will be a balancing act though and will requite close monitering ??

I think Boris's only consideration was not to swamp the hospitals with so many cases all at once Donkeyman. Now he knows it's under control he will be wanting to get the economy back on track, sod the people!

Unfortunately it is not yet under control.

This is not just a personal view.

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

In terms of recovery I heard a friend's daughter had the virus back in Feb/Mar and is still not recovered. She is still very weak and continues to struggle. She is a young woman, no health conditions prior to this. Her life has been changed by this.

It has been like it for a fair while, I presumed that the authorities weren't providing the recovered cases data because, of course, without it you can't calculate the active cases figure. I have no idea why the UK isn't providing those figures.
