Stop, Listen........What Can You Hear Just Now?

Stop and listen for a few seconds.

I can hear my washing machine going, a car in the distance, my three freezer motors and that’s it!

What can you hear?
Do you mind the sound of silence or like some sort of sound?

Some kids on a swing that sounds like a goose being strangled and my tinnitus.

I would love silence but my ears don't let me hear it.

Hi

Guy snoring.

He cannot sleep flat so is living on a sofa in the lounge.

I am living on another sofa next to him in case of another seizure.

No great shakes, it is what you do for your kids.

His choice of TV is bizarre.

I can hear my tinnitus, a motorcycle that needs a replacement exhaust (even with the double glazed window closed) and our TV in the living room.

The gentle hum of my PC's cooling fan, some birds twittering away in the garden, and the next door neighbours fratching - I think that the lockdown is having an effect on them.

When in the garden I hear lots of traffic unfortunately - we are not far away from the A4. More people are using their cars today.

My wife eating my toffees again dammit! I love the early morning sound of the birds chatting to each other. The feathered ones obviously.

There has been a soft drone of lawn mowers since lunchtime including mine .

Now all that can be heard is birds , sheep baa baaring and lambs jumping about on a pile of wood.

It's 5:36 PM and all I can hear is the BBC briefing going on in the background.

It all sounds a lot more productive than what we might perceive in real life.
