I was thinking about this thread while I was out running this morning; I was just around the four mile mark way out in the country running through a tunnel of trees and hedges that lined the road, it dips down to a small vale and a pony was leaning over a farm gate watching me run past. Blackbirds and thrushes were whistling their heads off, and a bunch of rooks were skwarking support from their lofty position at the top of a horse chestnut tree that was older than me. Fresh vivid green leaves and beautiful reddy pink blossoms adorned it's branches, and it was flanked either side by hawthorns in full bloom with their snow white blossoms.

I jogged up the slight gradient back out into the open, fields on either side freshly planted with barley or corn. I filled my lungs with a deep breath of clean fresh air, no aches or pains, just the relentless padding of shoes on the tarmac, I felt that I could have run all day and it occurred to me that I didn't need anything on that list Carol, I have everything that I need, and consider myself so lucky to be doing this at seventy.....
