Never felt the need to hug anyone since the late 70s, there seems to be a new generation of huggers, since its been unacceptable.

It's like when you go abroad and can't get tea, all you want is tea.

Re: Well, I’ve had the jab

I had the flu jab for the first time at the beginning of December..
I had an achy arm for a day or two but by the sounds if it, I wasn't relaxing my arm enough when I compared notes with others!

Its difficult finding a standard, in untested times.

Re: Well, I’ve had the jab

Being diabetic I don't mind needles that much. That said, the biggest jabs I ever had to give myself was this time last year, which was two jabs of anticoagulants in my stomach each evening for 3 consecutive days.

I was surprised they just gave me the syringes at the hospital and didn't bother asking me if I could actually inject myself with needles that big. They were an inch and a quarter long, which I thought would have needed someone trained to use them! I managed to do it by pinching a bit of flesh and jamming the needle in, but have to say I wouldn't want to do it again in a hurry. It was quite uncomfortable.

Lucky you Primus my brother in Derbyshire (84 and still working) is having his vaccination on Tuesday.

It is slow going around here, I don't know anyone who has been vaccinated yet. They were supposed to be using the Three Counties Showground as a vaccination center but nothing seems to be happening there.

They've cancelled all the fleamarkets there until 7th March.
