Re: Couple on train

Heaven preserve me from ever meeting you on a train .
I make a train journey about once a year and nearly always have trouble from some moronic drunks or mouthy mobile users .
Selfish old gits would just about take the cake .

OK it always has been to a certain degree but now more than ever.

I really would have no hesitation in doing what that couple did.

Would it make me unpopular and criticised? Quite probably but ---

I'd have a seat.

Clearly from what I read of this post..

You are a selfish, self centred man,..you would sit in a reserved seat...that wasn't yours to sit in...even if you were confronted by the person who had reserved that seat ,you wouldn't budge..

I said fair enough on another post to you...I read this topic very quickly..so didn't read the whole story..as I was in a rush.

I have changed my mind.thats what I think of you above.

The only thing I would not have done was post it on social media..

And IMO...it is"not" a dog eat dog world...it's people like you that make it a selfish world.

I can not believe, that she posted this on social media site.

Such a trivial thing to happen....IMO.
Yes seats are numbered as well as ,at least on the journeys I take there's also a white cardboard slip in a slot on top of the seat denoting the boarding and alighting stations showing other passengers when they will be occupied.
.Your ticket also has the seat number on it .

That's how this woman knew which were her seats .

Not a trivial thing at all for the woman to go on social media .
Attention needs to drawn to matters such as this .
The woman had gone to the trouble of prebooking .
Obviously the elderly couple had not .
Pleased she was given seats in first class !

Maybe attention does need to be drawn to this...as I say I would have gone to the train line authoroties....the proper route to take.imo..not social media.

And it does seem trivial to me...when there is so much war and destruction going on in this world...

It's not trivial to you.....it is to me!...my opinion.

Re: Couple on train

I'd never take reserved seats, it's a bit like stealing. They should have reserved their own seats, cheeky buggers

Re: Couple on train

... can't really comment on the story.

Other than to say ... why do children need seats?
