Less Is More.
Less weight, more expensive. I always like to check price against weight when we're shopping. Yesterday I bought a pack of raisin toast. When I checked there are now six slices in a pack instead of the old pack with seven. Checking further the pack is now 50 grams lighter and 50 cents more expensive. The old one two combination.
less 'naughtiness' for you to eat...

A lot of the products we buy in the last four or five years have gone from 500 grams to 400. Of course the price is the same.

I have seen these things happen a lot over the last 5 - 10 years. One thing I noticed (because I am a cookie monster) is the cookies are smaller. I used to love the large Dad's Cookies. They were so good dipped in my tea or coffee. Now they are so small and they lost their appeal to me. I don't know anyone who buys those Dad's cookies anymore.Also the maple leaf cookies used to be larger and had wonderful maple cream in them. The butter tarts used to be large and full of lovely runny sauce inside. Now, they put such a litte sauce in there, not worth buying, it is like a sweet jam on the bottom of the tart.
