Let me say at the outset that I am not racist.

But why are negroid Americans called African Americans? Many of whom won't have set a foot on the African continent.
And not all from that continent are negroid anyway. Egyptians aren't.

So why not call Caucasian Americans European Americans?

It's just silly.

Don,t people realise that all these accusations of racism etc; is just adding fuel to the fire. The more that is thrown on the fiercer it will get till it eventually gets beyond control.
There was never this sort of thing going on years ago. It was just laughed off. Remember the old TV shows? Love They Neighbour. Till Death Us Do Part, Rising Damp. No-one screamed .'Racism' then so why now.
Remember the old coloured comedian Charlie Williams? He used to say to his audience "If you give me any more lip I will come and live next door to you"

All this talk about being racist is only due to those who want to be politically correct. This has gone way too far. As a child we had figures on jamjars stuck on and if you collected so many paper ones you could send them off and get a metal one. Back then the term "Gol**og" was often used even some dolls were called that and kids loved them.
There was no malice at all and being racist wasn't even considered or a term used.

It is only recently with the new influx of foreigners that seems to have cause offence instead of accepting our long standing culture
