Frozen padlocks ?

Winter frosts are due with the usual frozen locks and padlocks on sheds and gates, I always squirt anti-freeze in them, the same as you use in your cars engine, don't dilute it, just use it neat and you'll never need to stand with a match or lighter defrosting them again.

Re: Frozen padlocks ?

I heard a joke - if your car door lock gets frozen you should p on it. If you are a lady and cannot, ask a policeman for help!

Thanks for the tip nero

Re: Frozen padlocks ?

If the forecasters are right (which is probably unlikely) we wont need this tip We can but dream.

Re: Frozen padlocks ?

After the coldest winter in 100 years I'm pleased to say I never had a frozen padlock this year, . . I have one on the gate and one on the garage door.
