IDIOMS. unfathomable to our continental brothers and sisters.

"Raining cats & dogs"

We used to play host family to German, French & Italian kids & they often asked about our IDIOMS & also asked us if we really said that in real life.

For the pedantic reader, you will notice I have already abandoned to a large extent punctuation & other grammatic essentials.
