Re: I disrupted a shoot

There are lots of shoots around here - all on private estates (including ours). My son shoots and he says they are not supposed to shoot near a public road, property, etc. It is quite complicated as he knows exact distances, but they are frequently breaking the law here on the shoots, especially when they stand at the perimeter of our paddock and shoot into the field. A huge no no. I am waiting to see what it takes before someone decides to police these hooray henries - probably an accident!!! As said before - the trouble is it is worth a lot of money to those who arrange the shoots. There should be some laws on the ways they are policed and conducted though. They seem very free for all and ad hoc, compared to some of the very organised shoots that were polite well mannered social occassions with strict rules and conduct, that you would attend many years ago.
