I had a glut last year so halved the number planted this year, result is that plenty for myself but hardly any to give away.
So just right.

cut the tips off, slice and blanch in cold water for 2 minutes. Drain and put in freezer bags
Sue uses one of these to dip into cold water ,doing this keeps colour and flavour
