Nicola Sturgeon still banging on about Independence for Scotland. Leader says her country will decide on a fresh drive for independence from the United Kingdom as soon as it is known on what bases and rules Britain will leave the European Union.
Do not think it unreasonable for a referendum for all of us to decide if we want a United Kingdom split. The SNP and Plaid Cymru should work in parallel says Adam Price leader of Welsh party.
If that's what the majority of folk want why not?
I'm happy to be part of an amalgamation but if England were allowed a vote I'd probably vote for a split. No point having Welsh and Scots with us but against us if they're itching to go it alone.
Would that mean all Scots would need passports to come to the uk?
We would have to update Hadrians wall to keep the barbarians in or maybe just a hard border?
I had to chuckle when I read that Plaid Cymru had recruited Angus Robertson to help them with their election strategy. He lost his seat to a Tory at the last election
What will happen to Doncaster I wonder, I found this..
According to a 900-year-old historical quirk, the small Yorkshire town of Doncaster, 175 miles south of the border, is technically part of Scotland.
Doncaster was signed over to Scotland in 1136 by King Stephen of England as part of the Treaty of Durham, after King David successfully stormed large areas of northern England.
It remained in Scottish hands for 21 years until Henry II appeared to reclaim the town under English rule in 1157. But, it was never formally given back.
