It manifests itself mostly in an inability to respect another's point of view and it turns humour in to insults.

Being in disagreement, however , does not give you a right to besmirch the sarifice made by tens of thousands of British soldiers at Dunkirk.
In case you don't realise, British boats rescued thousands of Europeans as well as British soldiers...........British soldiers who had been fighting to help defend France and slow down German advances into Holland.
I don't mind your attempts at humour and your misguided, rather typical European, efforts to denigrate our democratic decisions but you're not going to change any historical narratives on this forum......Not where WW2 is concerned.

Your first paragraph is awfully odd. No one was standing by your side? When you consider how much American blood and treasure DID go to England, twice in the last 102 years, to help straighten out European messes.
Had the US not come to Europe's aid, The Russians would have still beaten the Germans and then there would have been nothing to stop Stalin from bringing his Communist paradise to a village near you.
If I were living in the UK, with France and Germany in primary control of Europe, and a greedy and aggressive Russia waiting in the wings, I am not sure how secure I would feel, but I would not be picking at them. The Channel is not as wide as it once was.
That old independent Nationalism can come back to bite a nation in the butt, but I understand it is all the rage now days, and history does not always repeat. Maybe there will continue to be peace in our time. That will be a good thing, because Uncle Sugar is not the giant he once was.

HiWe are not living in the 1940s and 50s.
We have moved on.
The UK Is no longer a major Manufacturing Country.
We are Service Based and have sold off our Manufacturing,
Time to get real and understand that.
We have no UK owned Car Manufacturers, or Steel.
Apart from Severn Trent, our Infrastructure is Foreign Owned.
We are not in control of our future.
